o       Mom Patience, would you please read the Audit?
 
o       Tomorrow, Friday, February 2 will be the Official Visitation for #16 Glen Burnie. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM and they will be serving a pasta dinner beforehand at 5:30 PM. Free will donations accepted. We need a count of those who are able to attend. 
 
o       Bethel #24 Indian Head and #62 La Plata will be holding their OV on February 8th at the home of Bethel #24. They will be holding a lasagna dinner beforehand at 5:30 PM. The cost is $7.00 per person. We need a count of daughters and drivers?
 
o       On Saturday, February 10th, there will be an All Masonic Youth Prospect Party from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM at the Boumi Temple in Rosedale. Dress is casual. If you bring a prospect, both you and the prospect will get in for free! If you do not bring a prospect, the cost will be $3 to help defray the cost of refreshments. There will be dancing, games and lots more… Who is interested in attending?
 
o       Our next meeting will be scheduled for Thursday, February 15th. Following our meeting, we will be going to the Grand Lodge to do a short exemplification for Amicable-St. Johns Lodge. More details will be shared as soon as they become available, but all daughters are expected to attend. 
 
o       The Bethel may purchase an ad for the Spring Banquet booklet. The cost is $40 for a full page, #30 for a half page and $20 for a quarter page. We need a motion to purchase an ad and the size of the ad we should purchase. 
 
o       Who would like to volunteer to design the ad? The deadline for the artwork to be submitted is February 24th  to Mom Mary Lake.

  • Dalene Drum, Bethel Guardian – The Officers and Members of Bethel #16 invite you to attend their Official Visitation on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the Glen Burnie Masonic Temple. We will be serving a homemade spaghetti dinner before the meeting from 5:30 to 6:30 APM. Choice of meat or meatless spaghetti, salad, rolls, tea and coffee. Dessert will be served after the meeting. Free will donations accepted. Please RSVP to Dalene Drum or Judy Stone.

 

  • Tom Reinhardt, SMC – Masonic Youth Prospect Party: Open to all Job’s Daughters, DeMolay and Rainbow Members and their prospects on Saturday, February 10, 2007 from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM at the Boumi Shrine Temple. Dress is casual. Bring a prospect, and both you and the prospect will get in free! If you do not bring a prospect, the cost will be $3 to help defray the cost of refreshments. We will have dancing, games and more fun for all ages, so bring your prospects. You can mix your prospect and your organization (young ladies may bring a young man who is interested in joining DeMolay and vice versa). Prospects are expected to fill out basic contact information in order to qualify for the free admission.

 

  • Mary Lake, Chairman – The 2207 Choral and Talent Competition (aka Jobie Idol) will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Epiphany Lutheran Church on 4301 Raspe Avenue, Baltimore at 7:30 PM. Check-in will be between 7:00 and 7:15 PM. The competition is open to all active members of Job’s Daughters. The categories are individual vocal, group vocal, dance, individual instrumental, group instrumental and skit. The rules and registration forms were mailed to the Bethels in December and must be postmarked by February, 20, 2007. We hope that every Bethel is represented in the competition. Prospects and JTBs are welcome to attend. The dress code for the evening is causal. Please join us for a fun and enjoyable evening.

 

  • Pat Morgan, Chair – The Annual Spring Banquet and Dance will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Boumi Temple in Baltimore. Horsd’oeuvers will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. The banquet will begin at 6:30 PM with the escort and introduction of our special guests. The buffet will be served at 7:00 PM. The dance will begin at approximately 9:30 PM and will end at 11:30 PM. Door prizes will be awarded through the evening. Dinner will be buffet-style consisting of roast beef, carved turkey, penne pasta marinara. There will be water and iced tea on the table with coffee and tea. Dessert will be make your own sundae. The ticket pries of the banquet and dance are set at $12.00 for daughters and JTBs  and $22.00 per person for all adults and guests. The ticket deadline is March 28, 2007 and all tickets must be paid for in advance. Tickets will not be mailed and are to be picked up at the door. Tickets for the dance only are $5.00 each and will be sold at the door. Please fill out the attached forma nd mail with check to Kim Regner. The dress code for the Banquet and Dance is formal or semi-formal for ladies; jacket and tie for men. Athletic footwear, flip flops and jeans are not acceptable attire. Dad Sunderland will be taking pictures again this year. If you have any questions, please contact the chairman. Reminder: The deadline for ads and boosters is February 24, 2007. You can earn free tickets by selling Ads and Boosters, please see your Bethel Guardian Secretary for forms and information.

 

  • Mary Lake – The 2007 Annual Spring Banquet is fast approaching. If you would like to support this activity by purchasing an ad or booster, the prices are listed below: $40 for a full page, $30 for a half page, $20 for a quarter page, boosters are $1 per line (please limit length to 30 characters and spaces). If you need assistance in preparing an ad, call me. Please return the bottom portion of this letter with your camera-ready ad postmarked no later than February 24, 2007. If you have created your ad on the computer please send it by e-mail. If you wish to give credit to a Bethel Daughter, don’t forget to put her name on the form where indicated. Thank you for your continued support. 

 

  • Karen Gibbs, Chairman – Are you creative? Are you a writer? Photographer? Crafter? Artist? Seamstress? Baker? Then… we’ve got the contest for you! Watch for the GGC 2006-2007 Grand Librarian’s Contest Packets. Pre-registration is required. New Categories! All age groups from JTBs to Grand Bethel are eligible to enter!

 

  • Caitlin Litzenberger, Honored Queen – Bethel #16 will be celebrating its 75th birthday this May. We are planning a special meeting on Friday, May 4, 2007 and we would like to request any one who has fond memories, photographs, scrapbooks, carrying pieces, favors, programs to share and interesting facts to be included in a written history to be presented that day to contact Dalene Drum or Mary Lake. The Bethel will be sending out invitations in March, so if there is someone who is not listed in the GGC Directory that you feel would like to be included in this celebration, please let us know their name and address. Thank you for your assistance in planning the celebration of our Bethel’s milestone.
